Established in 2007, the SunCoast Ladies Series has provided aspiring
competitive golfers a place to hone their skills in an organized and
competitive tournament atmosphere. The Series was established to
give those players who failed to qualify for the LPGA Tour or other
major tours, and those who received an "F" status after Futures Tour
qualifying an opportunity to play tournament golf until their status
improved and they could get into bigger tournaments. The series
draws players of all skill levels. You will find players new to
the professional ranks as well as top ranked amateurs and professionals.
In addition, the series is frequented by world class players from the
LPGA Tour, LET, Korean LPGA, and the Japan LPGA. In fact, you will
see several players who have won on major tours in the U.S. and abroad,
as well as LPGA Tour major championship winners on the SunCoast Series
money list every year.
The tour dynamic is centered around value. Recognizing the
financial commitment players must make to chase their dream of playing
at golf's highest level the series prides itself on keeping entry fees
affordable and lower than industry standard while providing the
competitors with a well organized and professionally run tournament
environment. Prize purses are directly attributable to the amount of
professionals in each field. If you are interested in playing on
the SunCoast Ladies Series please read the following Policies and
Procedures. If you have questions feel free to contact the tour.
Withdrawal Policy: A player may withdraw from any event without
penalty if they do so by the
"Withdraw Deadline Date"
established for each event. In addition, a
player
who is taken from the Futures Tour or LPGA
alternate list will not be penalized for a late withdrawal provided they
contact the tour prior to the "FIRST START
TIME" of the SunCoast Series event. For any
other situation the following withdraw policy will be enforced;
REGARDLESS OF REASON, ILLNESS OR
INJURY;
A player who withdraws after the Withdraw Deadline Date
established will receive a refund of their entry fee minus $50.
Once pairings are posted and emailed out players are committed to the
tournament. A player withdrawing after pairings have been posted
will not be eligible for a refund of their entry fee unless another
professional player takes the open spot in the field.
IF
YOU WD AFTER PAIRINGS ARE POSTED YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR ENTRY FEE
unless your situation falls into a category mentioned in the
first paragraph of the WD policy.

following a score of 90 or higher. If the player keeps their
scores under 90 they will be removed from performance probation after
the fifth round.
Professional Purse Distribution: The amount of money in the purse
is directly attributable to the number of professionals in the field.
There are no prize money guarantees. The only guarantee the tour
makes is that a minimum of $300 of each member entry fee is applied to
the purse. The Series guarantees 1st place to be a minimum of
$2000 with at least 15 professionals in the field.
How Many Spots Get Paid: 30% of the professional field gets paid.
Amateurs are not included in determining how many spots get paid nor can
they beat a pro out of any money. Amateurs will be competing for
experience only. An amateur that wins an event will receive an
award.
Transportation / Caddies / Spectators: Players will be required to
utilize golf carts during competition. No Walking will be
permitted. In most cases, only 2 carts will be permitted per
pairings. Caddies may not ride during play of the hole.
Caddies may ride in between holes or, if a player elects to walk from an
approach shot to the green the caddie may move their cart greenside.
At no time may player or caddie ride at the same time and players must
ride from teeing ground to fairway, and from green to next teeing
ground. Spectators may be eligible to rent carts from the host
course. This will depend on how many spare carts are available.
It is suggested that you call the host course in advance to inquire.
Why can Spectators utilize carts but caddies cannot? A caddie
is considered to be on the player's side and therefore is a part of the
tournament. If one caddie is permitted to ride then the tour feels
that all caddies should have the opportunity to ride. Because of
the cart situation, the host courses will not be able to provide the
players and all of the caddies a golf cart. Spectators are not
part of the tournament. Provided there are enough carts for the
tournament and enough carts that will satisfy the needs of any public
play the course has booked, spectators may be able to rent a cart.
Spectators who rent carts will not be able to perform any duties that a
caddie would perform without the player being subject to penalty for
breach of the transportation condition of competition. THE HOST
COURSE POLICY TAKES PRECEDENCE REGARDING SPECTATORS RENTING CARTS.
Just because it is okay with the tour doesn't mean the host course will
allow it. Please call in advance especially if you have spectators
with special needs.
